Day Trip at Henann Resort Alona Beach

Even though I'm a budget traveler who mostly stays in hostels, inns or wherever I can fit my budget in to, I also want to splurge once in a while and experience luxury.

For my trip to Bohol last week, I've been wanting to stay at Henann Resort Alona Beach at Panglao Island but the price starts around Php 7,000++ (USD 140++) a night, too much for a budget traveler. Since I've been really wanting to experience Henann even without staying overnight, I inquired on their website if they are possibly offering day tours. Much to my delight, a reply came in the next day and they are indeed offering day tours with different packages.

They are offering pool use, pool use plus lunch or dinner buffet. Rate varies in which package you will avail and what day you will be going. Please see below:

WEEKDAY TOUR PACKAGES (Valid from Monday through Thursday only):

Day Tour A - Php 1,275 nett (Adult - 10 yrs. old and above)
                   - Php 1,000 nett (5 -9 yrs. old)

• Lunch Buffet
• Use of swimming pool #3
• Towel
• Sun Lounger

Day Tour B - Php 1,425 nett (Adult - 10 yrs. old and above)
                   - Php 1,075 nett (5 -9 yrs. old)

• Dinner Buffet
• Use of swimming pool #3
• Towel
• Sun Lounger

Day Tour C - Php 700 nett (Adult - 10 yrs. old and above)                   - Php 700 nett (5 -9 yrs. old)

• Without meals
• Use of swimming pool #3
• Towel 
• Sun Lounger

WEEKEND TOUR PACKAGES (Valid from Friday through Sunday only):

Day Tour A - Php 1,375 nett (Adult - 10 yrs. old and above)
                   - Php 1,100 nett (5 -9 yrs. old)

• Lunch Buffet

• Towel
• Sun Lounger

Day Tour B - Php 1,525 nett (Adult - 10 yrs. old and above)
                   - Php 1,175 nett (5 -9 yrs. old)

• Dinner Buffet
• Use of swimming pool #3
• Towel
• Sun Lounger

Day Tour C - Php 800 nett (Adult - 10 yrs. old and above)                   
                   - Php 800 nett (5 -9 yrs. old)

• Without meals
• Use of swimming pool #3

Reminders:

• DAY TOUR PACKAGES are not offered if the resort has full occupancy(to be advised by FO).
• RATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.
• DAY TOUR- A & DAY TOUR- B  ARE NOT APPLICABLE DURING HOLIDAYS  (ONLY DAY TOUR C).
• Swimming pool is open from 9:00AM to 7:00PM (Swimming Pool #3 /Beach Swimming Pool).

Rates are applicable to walk-in guests only and no reservations needed. Luckily, the resort allowed us to avail the Day Tour B even if we arrived around 4PM.  

I must say, Henann Resort Alona Beach does offer a perfect ambiance if you want to stay at Alona Beach. If you have ever been in Alona Beach, you will know that the ultimate bummer for your vacation was the boats parked on the seashore. You cannot enjoy swimming without bumping into one of them. Henann have allotted a space for their guests to swim on the beach without worrying about the boats. 

The dinner buffet at the Sea Breeze Cafe starts around 6PM and ends at 10PM. Located on the beachfront, they have a variation of Asian, Western and Filipino food. You may dine outside with a live band or inside the air-conditioned restaurant.

All in all, our day tour with Henann was awesome and I'm glad that we had the chance to know that they are offering day tours. This is advisable to those who doesn't have the budget to stay at Henann but want to experience it anyway.

We rented a motorbike from our inn near Tagbilaran airport and rode for about 30mins. to Henann.
